Project
City of London: bp pulse charger migration
ELMPARK EV / MIGRATION CASE STUDY
Keeping existing charge points in service.
ElmPark EV migrated the existing charge points at City of London, Barbican Estate, onto our charging management platform. The site retained its existing equipment, with ElmPark EV taking on the role of charge point operator.

THE SITE
City of London,
Barbican Estate
THE PROJECT
Existing charge point migration, 57 sockets.
ONGOING OPERATOR
ElmPark EV
The challenge
The site needed a new management platform and operator for the charge points already in place, while retaining useful charging equipment.
The priority was to give the existing installation a route onto a new network and continue making use of the site’s charging infrastructure.
What ElmPark delivered
We migrated the existing charge points onto ElmPark EV’s charge point management system (CPMS) and took on the role of charge point operator (CPO).
The migration gave the installation a new home on the ElmPark EV network, with the existing charging assets retained.
The platform transition

Existing equipment.
A new platform and operator.
The site’s charge points are now connected to ElmPark EV CPMS, with ElmPark EV acting as charge point operator. The existing equipment remains in use under the new arrangement.
This project demonstrates how compatible charge points can move to a new network and continue serving their site.
Have charge points previously connected to bp pulse?
If your charge points were part of the buyer-funded arrangement, we can review the options for bringing compatible equipment onto the ElmPark EV network.
A change of network provider does not necessarily mean your existing chargers need replacing.
Looking to move from another platform?
We also welcome enquiries from businesses, property owners and site managers with charge points on other networks.
We can assess compatibility and discuss the management, operation and support arrangements suited to your site.
Could your charge points join our network?
Tell us your charger make and model, the number of charge points and sockets, your current provider and the site location. We can then discuss the migration options available.
Migration is subject to charger compatibility, condition and access to the configuration needed to complete the change. We will confirm the proposed scope and service arrangements for your site.
