A new operator for Public charge points
As part of a review of its charging arrangements, the NHS needed to appoint a new charge point operator for Salisbury district Hospital . The priority was to retain compatible equipment and secure a managed service with maintenance to support its visitor and staff charging requirements.
ElmPark EV provided the solution: a planned migration onto our charging management platform, ongoing network operation and driver support, together with on-site maintenance and annual health checks within the agreed service scope.
Planned around visitor & staff operations
We agreed the migration date, charger access, connectivity and operating requirements before attending. Preparing the ElmPark EV platform connection and driver access settings in advance helped keep downtime and disruption to visitor & staff charging to a minimum.

The migration work
STEP 01
Check and prepare
We reviewed the charger make and model, condition, connectivity and configuration access. We confirmed compatibility and agreed the migration scope around the visitor & staff charging requirements at NHS Salisbury District Hospital.
STEP 02
Debrand and rebrand
We removed the previous network branding and applied ElmPark EV branding, charger identifiers and driver instructions, so the equipment clearly showed how to access the new charging service.
STEP 03
Connect to ElmPark EV
We reconfigured the compatible charge points onto ElmPark EV CPMS and checked their communications. Site details, authorised driver access and the agreed charging settings were configured for the new platform.
STEP 04
Test and hand over
We checked platform connectivity, authorised driver access and functional charging sessions. The working charge points were handed over for public use, with client dashboard access and an explanation of the agreed support and maintenance arrangements.
Existing public equipment.
A managed service with maintenance.
The migrated public charge points at NHS Salisbury District Hospital are connected to ElmPark EV CPMS and were handed over ready to use following configuration and functional charging checks. ElmPark EV now manages the network and provides the agreed maintenance service.
Handover timing: 1 day. The NHS has dashboard access for an overview of its connected charging network, with our team looking after day-to-day network operation, driver support and the agreed maintenance plan.
An overview of the public charging network
The NHS managers have access to the client dashboard to review charger status, charging activity, sessions, energy use and reports across its connected public charging network.
The client keeps visibility of its charging equipment and usage, while ElmPark EV handles day-to-day network administration. Dashboard access and the available reporting views were explained as part of the handover.
Managed CPMS with maintenance
Our network team manages the agreed public access settings, remote monitoring, network administration and reporting. The managed service includes 24/7 driver support and business-hours client support.
The selected package also includes on-site maintenance and annual health checks within the agreed scope. The service plan defines included attendance, servicing, any parts cover and the process for arranging additional work.
Reviewing your existing BP Pulse unsupported charging arrangements?
If you operate charge points previously connected to bp pulse and are looking for a new CPO, we can assess a move to ElmPark EV. Share the site location, charger make and model, charge point and socket counts, and your operating requirements.
Migrations are subject to charger compatibility, condition, connectivity, configuration access and the required permissions. Same-day return to service is a target for compatible, prepared equipment; the scope and timing are confirmed for each site. Maintenance attendance and any parts cover are defined in the agreed service plan.
