ElmPark EV delivered a fully funded charging solution at Hydro Hotel in Eastbourne. The project gives Hotel and public users access to EV charging, without the site host funding the equipment and installation. ElmPark EV manages the service as the charge point operator.

The opportunity
The team at Hydro Hotel wanted to add EV charging for Hotel users and public, without committing its own capital to the charging equipment and installation.
The hotel needed a fully funded EV charging solution that would allow guests to charge their vehicles during their stay, without an upfront investment in equipment or installation.
What ElmPark delivered
ElmPark EV funded the equipment and installation, delivering 1 charge points with 2 charging plugs. The specification includes Tritium 50kW DC, selected to suit the site and its users.
The chargers were commissioned onto ElmPark EV’s charging management platform. ElmPark EV operates the service, handling monitoring, payments, maintenance and driver support.

For the site host
The fully funded arrangement removes the upfront cost of the chargers and installation for the host. ElmPark EV covers ongoing charging maintenance and operating costs.
Electricity used by the chargers is reimbursed monthly, and the site host receives an agreed share of charging revenue under the site agreement.
Managed beyond installation
ElmPark EV provides the charging management platform, payment processing, remote monitoring, maintenance and driver support. The site has an operator responsible for keeping the charging service running.
